Williams Lake has a rich history that is still evident today. With roots dating back to the late 1800s, it is now home to over 13,000 people. This community has always been diverse and welcoming, something that is still apparent today with an array of different cultures represented in the area.
Learn about the history of the region at Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin. The museum is a great place to explore different cultures and learn about historical events. Take a look at all of the different exhibits and learn about the different artifacts. The museum has a lot of great information and is a really interesting place to learn about the different cultures of the area.
The Station House Gallery is another location to learn about the history of Williams Lake. Built in 1919, the Station House is the oldest building in Williams Lake. The space also serves as a gallery with artwork by local, regional and travelling artists.
