  • How the nominee has demonstrated excellence in the category in which they are being nominated
  • Description must meet criteria for each category 
  • Earned between July 2017-June 2018
  • Judges decisions are final
                     

1. Greatest Improvement Award  SPONSORED BY: PMT Chartered Professional Accountants LLP

Criteria:

• Any business are eligible

• Must have  shown an extraordinary improvement in growth through personnel,  or customer service or
any other aspect of operations i.e. beautification, quality of product,  environmental improvements, offers accessibility for mobility or agility

2. Newsmaker of the Year Award  SPONSORED BY: Williams Lake Tribune

Criteria:

• Any business,  groups or individuals are eligible

• News must  have attracted positive media & extraordinary local and/or provincial attention   

• Examples of Newsmaker:  Sports, Entertainment, Literacy, Innovation, Arts, Politics ,Environmental

3. Tourism Excellence Award SPONSORED  BY: Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association

Criteria:

• All hospitality-tourism  businesses or organizations are eligible

• Actively encourage the growth of the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region

• Increases the visibility of Williams Lake & area

• Provides  and promotes outstanding visitor experiences

4. Not-For-Profit Award  SPONSORED  BY: Mike Austin Financial Services Ltd.

Criteria:

• Any association or group is eligible

• Be registered as a legitimate society of charitable organization

• Demonstrate outstanding contributions to the community

• Show benefits of service and how they set their  organization apart

5. Production & Manufacturing Excellence Award SPONSORED  BY: Business  Development Bank of Canada

Criteria:

• Any business or individual is eligible 

• A person/business that makes/produces goods for sale

• Must craft, fabricate, construct, process, invent, assemble or manufacture their product


6. Retail Excellence Award SPONSORED  BY: RBC  

Criteria:

• Any business or individual are eligible

• Shows excellence in knowledge of their products

• Does not manufacture what they sell

• Examples: Car dealerships, grocery stores, real estate, clothing stores etc. 


7. Service Excellence  Award SPONSORED  BY: Williams Lake & District Credit Union

Criteria:

• Any business or individual is eligible

• Service must be consistently good and create a positive experience

• Must have  an exceptional knowledge of their products and/or services

• Service  must exceed expectations

8. Hugo Stahl  Memorial Award SPONSORED  BY: City  of Williams Lake

Criteria:

• Any individual is eligible

• Over the years has continuously dedicated time and resources to improving Williams Lake and area

• Displays leadership, positive attitude, and encouragement towards volunteering in the Williams Lake & area.
