Sport Fishing

The Cariboo Chilcotin Coast offers a vast selection of fishing options in the area. Whether it is from a boat or in a hut ice fishing, there is always something for everyone. The Cariboo is home to the “Fishing Highway” (Highway 24) with access to over 100 lakes at all kinds of elevation. The highway connects 100 Mile House with Little Fort. Also in the Cariboo is Quesnel Lake which is the 2nd deepest lake in Canada, it is also the largest lake in the Cariboo. (67,173 acres). But don’t forget about the smaller lakes they are just as good for fishing. Whichever direction you are heading there will be a fishing lake ready to be fished in. Fishing is popular during all seasons; just make sure you have the right gear for the right time of year. Local fishing guides and regulations are available online and at the Williams Lake Visitor Centre.
